Red Tape

From your first infant breath
to your final rest
theres always some guy
with a badge on his chest
to make you a number
in some digital code
to paint the stop signs
on freedom road

They'llstrip your identity
they'll bury your name
you're the pawn in some big
bureaucratic chess game
Stand up and be counted for
the man you were born
Or they'll bury you brother,
in triplicate form.

Rejoice in your difference
and you'll learn in a while
Each person finds their strength
in their own personal style.

Some men are quite
some outspoken and wild
It's the difference that matters
like Braddock... not mild.

Hey, hey woman,
You're wearing your clothes like mine.
Hey, hey woman,
Well I must admit they fit you fine.
You wear a t-shirt better than I ever could,
And blue jeans never looked so good,
But you still look like a woman should,
And it's driving me wild.....

It's the difference that matters,
Like Braddock, not mild.
